6 months later

I never noticed before the lazy lace detailing
at the Bourgoin station. looped high up
over the 2nd story windows, orange-brown rust stains
covering the once pure white iron bracings.
it wasn’t until now,
under the white glow of the
snow that I celebrated,
remarked their
gentle
curves,
delicately
rusting away
above the
large crass
loud iron trains passing every 10
minutes
